Mindful Mornings & Days of Mindfulness
Mindful Mornings & Days of Mindfulness are open to graduates of Mindfulness-Based Stress Management programs and to those already practicing mindfulness meditation. Days of mindfulness will be held at St. Paul University.
Your healing journey with mindfulness need not stop when you complete the basic MBSR program. Mindfulness is a way of life, and to help you continue to cultivate your practice, we are committed to holding monthly meditation opportunities.
These Mindful Mornings are currently held at The River House (1248 River Road) usually the second Saturday each month. The schedule will appear on this web site. Graduates will receive an e mail notification of these events the week before they are scheduled. We make time at the end of our morningʼs practice to discuss our concerns about keeping the practices alive, and issues that come up for those participating. These conversations are usually very informative and beneficial in bringing our mindfulness community together with a genuine sense of connectivity.
Summer-Fall 2017 Saturday Aug.19th, Sunday Sept. 10th, Sunday Oct. 1st. is A Day of Mindfulness at St. Paul University;
There will be a Mindful Morning event Oct. 28th. Saturday 10am-12pm with Lise Andree Payette at River house;
and with Kathy Nathan Dec. 9th. 10am-12pm at River House, 1048 North River Road in Vanier
NEW: Mindfulness Practice in Community
Meditation Evenings: Beginning in January 2018 we will be sitting on Tuesday evenings -1ce per month – near the end of the Month. The location is 31 Sutton Place in Nepean: Fisher Heights Community Place- time: 7:30-9:00pm. please check the date of the next sit. Here is the schedule for Winter 2018 Tuesday Evenings 7:30-9:00pm. – January 30th. February 27th. March 27th. 2018.
Spring dates will be available in January 2018.
Upcoming Days of Mindfulness
We are not offering a Day of Mindfulness this coming winter. Interested meditators are encouraged to visit the Web site of the Ottawa Buddhist Society- OBS- who offer Days of Mindfulness regularly on Saturdays once a month throughout the year.
On June 9th.2018 Mindful Health Professionals are offering a Day of Mindfulness 9:30-3:30pm at Carleton Memorial United Church on Melfa Ave, off of Prince of Wales Drive. This lovely venue allows us to walk along the Rideau River South of Hogs Back.
NEW: Exciting New Offering – Mindfulness in Daily Life; a program presently under development and will be available in the winter of 2018. (Usually rotating locations, outdoor venues for developing your mindfulness through Yoga, walking, music and sharing food.)
