Dr. Kathy Nathan has been a registered clinical psychologist in private pratice for 23 years in the Ottawa area. Previously, she has taught developmental psychology at Concordia University, worked at McGill Universityʼs outpatient child & family program, and served as a school psychologist for several boards of education. She became interested in mindfulness based cognitive therapy ten years ago, and has gradually shifted her work to include mindfulness based approaches. Her personal mindfulness practice supports her professional experience and strongly informs her clinical work with clients.
Dr. Nathan has trained with Dr. Jon Kabat-Zinn and Saki Santorelli and others at the University of Massachusetts Medical Schoolʼs Center for Mindfulness in Medicine, Health Care and Society. She has completed advanced teacher training at the TDI level with added studies on mindful eating. She is also pursuing the study of buddhism with several teachers in the insight meditation tradition.
As of October 2015, Dr. Nathan is not accepting new clients into her psychotherapy practice.
